The true and most irritating answer here is, how long is a piece of string? It depends on the song and the complexity of it, your skill level and how much you are willing to practice. Having said that we have had students come in for their first ever guitar lesson and three weeks later they are playing Wonderwall. But remember it’s down to you and how much time you can commit to practicing, the more you practice the quicker you will learn.
