Singing Competition – TeenStar

The singing competition TeenStar is a brand-new first-of-its-kind national singing competition specifically for teenage singers, duos, vocal groups, rappers and solo artists in the UK. The singing competition is already expected to attract over 8,000 acts as it travels across the country in the search for the UK’s best adolescent singers, singer/songwriters, rappers and vocalists. Acts can perform either covers or original material and it’s open to all genres, so whether you’re into pop, RnB, grime, acoustic or classical, TeenStar wants YOU!

TeenStar offers entrants not only the chance to win prizes, but the opportunity to perform live to capacity audiences at some of the best venues in the country – including within The O2 in London! Huge crowds, record industry A & R and celebrity judges will be there to cast their eye over the talent along the way.

With its nationwide status, the TeenStar singing competition gives acts all over the nation the opportunity to compete to be the UK’s best teenage singing star…… Are you good enough TO AUDITION?

There will be thousands of pounds worth of prizes up for grabs including recording studio time and music development classes, with the overall winner receiving £5,000 to spend on the development of their music! Enter the only singing competition exclusively for young singers in the UK

Age Range 

The singing competition is for teenagers but also looks to the future with a pre-teens section, meaning that all acts will be competing against acts of their same age category! The singing competition’s main aim is to discover an act that has the ability to become a professional and unique recording artist. So if you’re a teenager and think you have the talent please complete the application form on the website to enter the TeenStar singing competition.

The competition is split into three age categories:

  • Pre Teens (12 and under)
  • Mid Teens (13-15 years old)
  • Late Teens (16-19 years old)

Judging

The judges will be looking at vocal/musical talent, stage performance, star quality and individuality. Throughout the journey, acts will have to prove their professionalism and determination and make every performance their own. The judges will be seeking an act that has the potential to be successfully launched in the UK as a major recording artist. Subsequently, motivational skills are essential. The competitors who can promote and win over those around them will give themselves every opportunity to win. Singing Auditions

The Regional Final Showcases

If you’re successful in your audition you will be given a place in the Regional Final Showcases. The Regional Final Showcases will also include all the best young acts in your region in a showcase to judges which will include national radio, regional press, BBC Introducing, record labels & celebrity judges (with judges getting more prestigious as the singing competition progresses) as well as a huge live crowd! It’s here that you’ll have the chance to progress towards the National Grand Final within The O2 in London. Performing on some of the best stages in the country not only provides an exhilarating experience, but it gives competitors the opportunity to develop their craft and more importantly get their music heard!

The Grand Final is the climax of the whole singing competition and is staged at one of the best live music venue in the country, The indigO2, within The O2 in London!
