We met Lee England as a finalist of the national competition, Open Mic. We were blown away by his vocals and were honoured to provide him with some vocal coaching to help him progress with his career. Lee is a regular on the Yorkshire giging circuit and you will are guarenteed a great night of entertainment…. if you go along and see him we will probably see you there! Lee has been making some noise again lately and you about to hear a lot more about him. Below are a great couple of videos, one from his first audition at Open Mic and then a more recent one with a beautiful cover of I’m just looking. We love his voice, can you tell……
The Broken Saints
No strangers to the Sheffield music scene, Ryan Wilson (Lead Vocals/Acoustic Guitar) and John Slater (Acoustic Guitar) often crossed paths when called upon for numerous one-off music projects….. 2013 was right to create something a little more permanent and so The Broken Saints acoustic duo came to be and enlisted the help of long time friend and keyboard player, Steven Kay. The band increased (to include Craig one of our old teachers) to add drums/bass/fiddle for one off gigs such as their album launch and festivals appearances. The success and sound born from these gigs encouraged the original members to write with a full band in mind and this has transferred to the second album
Self proclaimed “Acoustic Foot-Stompers” Rita Payne (Rhiannon Scutt and Pete Sowerby) are one of the UK’s fastest rising acts and one time students of Harmony Music School (way back when :)). From supporting some of the country’s leading artists to appearing on BBC One’s The Voice UK, this unstoppable duo’s voyage to superstardom is unquestionable.
With ferocious guitar licks and grinding bass lines, Darke Horse are a 4-piece rock band from Sheffield (including Joe our guitar teacher), with a sound that simply compels people to get up, dance and have a damn good time.
A Cornishman and an Irishman, both travellers, step onto the same train at Chicago’s Union station and meet for the first time. Both are musicians, both singers, both songwriters. They’re broke, but intent on making their way by rail to Memphis, TN, the birthplace of Rock n Roll. We saw these by accident and have been in love with them ever since…….
The Travelling Willburys Tribute
With The Wilburys never actually going on tour their fans never got to see them all together in a live concert experience. With that in mind, these talented singers and musicians together have formed this incredible tribute show. (includes Aubs our Keyboard teacher) With an easy relaxed style, excellent vocals and musicality and a great respect for each others talent, these guys will give you an amazing night of entertainment that will be like nothing you’ve seen before.
